TARGET AUDIENCE
All employees at Michigan Medicine interested in or actively participating in care for patients with diabetes. This conference will be especially beneficial for trainees and members of the research community.
DESCRIPTION
Presentation topics will include highlights from previous and active clinical and basic science research on the diabetic foot conducted by Michigan Medicine faculty, encompassing a multidisciplinary approach with a special session on examining outcomes associated with lower extremity complication management.
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
• achieve better patient outcomes through utilization of services within our institution
• understand the role of each specialty and know who to contact in those various specialties
• call upon those colleagues when treating these high-risk patients with foot ulcers
