Biography
I am a physician and health services researcher dedicated to improving the burden of cardiometabolic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia) in low- and middle-income countries, with a special focus on Latin America. My research has three general themes: (1) applying the tools of implementation science to improve the adoption of evidence-based interventions to address cardiometabolic diseases throughout the lifecourse, (2) conducting cross-national comparative analyses on health care quality and outcomes for cardiometabolic diseases, and (3) understanding the relationship between cardiometabolic diseases and aging-related outcomes.
