
Biography
Trained as a behavioral epidemiologist, Dr. Bauer's research focuses on understanding social, personal, and behavioral influences on children's healthy eating, activity, and weight, and translating these findings into innovative, effective obesity prevention programs.
Dr. Bauer received a BA with High Honors in Psychology from Oberlin College, an MS in Health and Social Behavior from the Harvard School of Public Health, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. She completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship with the NIH-supported Minnesota Obesity Prevention Training Program.
