Biography
Physician-scientist. Clinical endocrinologist practicing general endocrinology with clinical interest in obesity, atypical diabetes, lipodystrophy, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, and thyroid eye disease. His research focuses on adipose tissue and skeletal muscle remodeling in obesity, the pathogenesis of atypical diabetes and lipodystrophy syndromes, the molecular mechanism of thyroid eye disease, and ex vivo disease modeling with a three-dimensional tissue engineering approach.
