The Clinical Core of the Michigan Diabetes Research Center (MDRC) provides expertise and services to support basic biomedical research, research focused on the translation of basic science findings into early phase clinical trials, and the testing of treatments related to diabetes in human subjects.
Provides patient-level data to support clinical research and facilitate recruitment of participants in clinical studies of diabetes.
Provides clinical research services and space including 4 examination rooms and a specimen processing laboratory.
Supports investigators interested in assays related to diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. Analytical methods include general blood chemistry, chemiluminescence, immunoassay, radioimmunoassay, multiplexing, and ELISA.
Provides both routine and non-routine biostatistical services to assist with experimental design, power calculations, data management, and data analysis.
